Aire Serv of Northwest Florida is Pensacola’s locally owned heating and air company. We service East Texar Drive to every neighborhood in the area, from the bayfront to Nine Mile Road, with these expert HVAC services:
- AC Repair: No cooling, warm air at the vents, short cycling, water at the air handler, tripped breakers. Diagnosed and priced on the first visit.
- Heat Pump Service: Most Pensacola homes heat and cool with one heat pump. We service the whole circuit, from the reversing valve to the defrost board.
- Furnace and Heating Repair: Gas furnaces, electric heat strips, and heat pump backup heat, serviced before the first cold snap.
- Emergency HVAC Service: A live person answers at 2 a.m. in July. No-cooling calls are dispatched around the clock.
- Tune-Ups and Maintenance: Coil cleaning, charge verification, electrical testing, condensate service, written system report.
- Indoor Air Quality: Whole-home dehumidifiers, filtration, UV system hygiene, and duct cleaning for houses that never feel dry.
- Ductless Mini-Splits: Historic homes without duct space, garages, additions, and sunrooms.

What We See in Each Part of Pensacola
Equipment fails in patterns, and in Pensacola the pattern follows the neighborhood more than the brand on the unit.
North Hill, East Hill, and Downtown. Historic homes with central air retrofitted into buildings that predate it. Duct routed through closets and chases, undersized returns, rooms that have never balanced, and pier-and-beam crawl spaces adding a moisture load that slab homes do not have.
Scenic Highway, Cordova Park, Scenic Heights, and the Bayou Texar shoreline. Bay-facing exposure. Milder than the barrier islands but real: pitted condenser fins, green copper, cabinet rust, and contactors and capacitors that die early. These addresses get salt flushing as part of Coastal Advantage maintenance, and corrosion protection coating is available as a line item at installation.
Warrington, Myrtle Grove, and the Bayou Grande and Bayou Chico neighborhoods. Mixed exposure near the water and NAS Pensacola. Older ranch stock, long equipment lives, and a high share of military renters and owners on PCS timelines.
Ferry Pass, Brent, Ensley, and Bellview. Slab ranches and split-levels from the 1970s through the 1990s. Original ductwork in attics that runs far hotter than the outdoor air, aging air handlers, and condensate drain problems in the humid months.
The Nine Mile Road corridor and north Escambia. New construction with builder-grade systems that were never commissioned, duct defects from fast building, and systems oversized at design that cool quickly and dehumidify poorly. Beulah has its own page for the subdivisions out there.
Every neighborhood. Capacitor and contactor failures accelerated by an eight-month cooling season, refrigerant leaks in aging coils, airflow restriction from loaded filters, and drain line clogs. The technical detail on each lives on AC Repair, heat pump service, and dehumidifiers.
Historic Homes in North Hill, East Hill, and Downtown
Pensacola has some of the oldest housing stock in Florida, and those homes need a different approach than a suburban slab ranch. Most were built before central air existed, so whatever system is there now was retrofitted: duct routed wherever it fit, supply runs too long or too small, returns badly undersized. The owner has usually stopped expecting the back bedrooms to cool.
We look at four things. Whether the ducting can be improved or should be bypassed with a ductless system serving the problem rooms, which preserves the structure. Return air, the most common single defect in older homes and often the cheapest meaningful fix. Crawl space moisture under pier-and-beam construction, where leaky return duct actively pulls damp crawl air into the living space. And equipment placement, since decisions made decades ago are worth revisiting at replacement.
We are not going to tell you to gut a hundred-year-old house to solve an airflow problem. We will tell you what the realistic options are and what each one buys you.
NAS Pensacola, Corry Station, and PCS Timelines
Pensacola has a large military population, and a PCS move puts HVAC on a timeline that does not care about the season.
Buying here: a general home inspection confirms the system runs and produces cold air. It does not measure refrigerant charge, static pressure, or airflow, and it usually does not evaluate the duct system. In a city where the house could be from 1925 or 2025, that gap matters. A dedicated HVAC evaluation during the inspection period tells you whether you are buying a system with years left or a defect the seller has been working around.
Selling: a system that fails during the buyer’s inspection becomes a negotiation item at the worst moment. Renting the house during an assignment: we work directly with your property manager on a standing approval path so a small problem does not wait three weeks. Arriving mid-summer: a baseline evaluation in your first weeks means you learn about problems on your schedule, not during the first heat wave.
Tell us the date you are working against, and we will schedule to it.
Ivan, Sally, and the Next One
Pensacola has been through Ivan and Sally, and the lesson both times was the same: equipment that took water may run afterward and fail weeks later, when documenting the cause for an insurance claim is much harder. Before a storm, we address securement and surge protection. After, we inspect and document condition. If your outdoor unit was submerged, do not run it. Call (850) 213-6229.
What Happens When You Call Aire Serv in Pensacola
- A person answers. Day or night, you speak to someone who can book the call. No-cooling calls in summer are dispatched around the clock.
- Diagnosis first. The technician tests the system, identifies the fault, and explains it in plain language.
- Written price before work. Every repair is quoted per job, in writing, before a tool comes out. You approve the scope.
- Options, not pressure. On older systems, we show you the repair-versus-replace numbers and let you decide.
- Neighborly Done Right Promise. If the job is not done right, we make it right. That is the Neighborly guarantee behind every invoice
In Pensacola, the Advantage Plan Tier Depends on Your Address
The Advantage Plan covers scheduled seasonal maintenance, priority scheduling when the system does go down, member pricing on repairs, and a documented service history that protects your manufacturer warranty.
Pensacola is the one market where the right tier changes by neighborhood. Bayfront and waterfront properties along Scenic Highway, Bayou Texar, Bayou Chico, Bayou Grande, and the bay-facing streets take real salt exposure, and the Coastal Advantage tier adds salt flushing of the outdoor unit, corrosion protection treatment, mounting hardware inspection, and coil condition tracking over time. Inland neighborhoods a few miles north generally do fine on the standard plan.
We put you on the tier that matches your exposure, not the more expensive one. Members are first in line during July heat waves.
Financing for New Systems and Major Repairs
A system replacement should not wait for a savings account. We offer financing options for qualified buyers, including promotional plans, subject to credit approval. Ask your technician or call the office, and we will walk you through it before you commit to anything.
